FRENCH POLYNESIA-TAHITI
LE MERIDIEN BORA BORA

In 1997, Le Meridien hotel chain opened one of Bora Bora’s largest and most modern properties on the southern tip of Piti Aau Motu, with 85 over-water bungalows and 15 beach bungalows all looking out to the majestic peaks of the mountains of Bora Bora. Notable is its Turtle Sanctuary.

Several restaurants feature both French and local cuisine. Other than a lovely white-sand beach, a heated swimming pool and a bevy of water sports, there are no other sport facilities.

Strong Points: Modern, comfortable Polynesian-style accommodations, sandy beaches and interesting dining, all served up with a gallic flavor situated on the legendary lagoon of Bora Bora.
