This traditional, regal hotel and spa located in the middle of the resort town of Interlaken, overlooking mountain peaks was originally built in 1865. Over the years there have been extensive renovations to all guest rooms and public areas. During the 1990s a total renovation took place and one of the country’s finest health spas and fitness/well-being centers was constructed. Two separate buildings inter-connected by a newly-constructed art-deco lobby, contain 116 standard rooms, 68 junior suites and 28 duplex, one-and two-bedroom suites, all exquisitely furnished. There are 19 conference and banquet rooms, the ballroom accommodating 400 banquet style.
 
In addition to the elegant main dining room, there is a Brasserie serving lighter contemporary cuisine, a pasta restaurant, a chalet serving Swiss cheese specialties and an outdoor terrace.
